In view of the confidential nature of the business considered it was recommended that Council resolve to exclude the public and press from the remainder of the meeting as permitted under the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960.
FC/23/026 Apologies for absence
Apologies for absence were received and approved from Cllr Herschel (family), Cllr Barrett (holiday), Cllr Webb (holiday) and Cllr Digby (family)
FC/23/027 Declarations of member’s interests in agenda items
There were none.
FC/23/028 Confidential Item – Staff Panel Report
Council was asked to note the report from the last Staff Committee held in July.
Council was asked to receive a verbal commentary from Cllr Forbes on the report, with a view to approving the recommendations therein.
It was highlighted that the deliberations of the staff committee had taken some time and the proposals had fully discussed and had not been taken lightly.
It was RESOLVED that;
- A 5% uplift for all staff be approved, which would be backdated to April.
- A further uplift of £2k to be paid to the clerk following background work on a neighbouring parish council.
- Bonuses totalling £5,800 to be paid to staff for the year 2022, following successful performance reviews.
The chairman thanked members for their attendance and closed the meeting at 7.45pm
