Cemeteries

The parish council owns three cemeteries; Altona Road Cemetery Loudwater, Cock Lane Cemetery Tylers Green and Hammersley Lane Cemetery (Garden of Rest at the rear of St Margaret’s Churchyard).

Hammersley Lane is small and only has a few cremation plots, the full burial side of the cemetery is full however owners of the plots can have them re-opened for further burials if there is space.

Altona Road and Cock Lane are much younger, larger cemeteries and offer both full burial and cremation plots. There is also the possibility to pre-purchase plots in these two cemeteries, please contact the office for further information.

If you are interested in having a plot at any of the above cemeteries it is vital to remember that the parish council only deal with funeral directors for internments, as all the local funeral directors hold the relevant paperwork.
