HP10 9LT Householder application for construction of 2.0 metres fence to front and rear elevation and extend fence out to the boundary on the west side/rear elevation with 2.0 metre fence CWPC have no objections in principle, but would like see consideration given to the following:
1. A boarded fence is ugly and inappropriate as a frontage on a main road. As the front fence is to try to reduce the traffic noise, construction should be of some type of material with acoustic properties to achieve this and the existing hedging should be maintained between the fence and the pavement to ensure it is not unsightly.
2. With regards to the side fence, a gap should be allowed between the fence and the verge to allow for shrubbery. The green verge along the private access road should also be preserved.
