HP10 8DJ Householder application for raising of roof of existing detached garage incorporating construction of 2 x dormer windows to front elevation, 3 x rooflights rear elevation and enclosing of existing carport at ground floor to create double garage with yoga studio and WC above The proposal seems to create a building more like a chalet bungalow than a garage with a useable attic space and we have concern that this is being gradually developed into a separate residential dwelling. With that in mind, we would ask that permitted development rights be removed from this site.

In terms of the proposal to create a yoga studio on the first floor, we must ask whether this is being done as a business and whether there is therefore a need to change the use class for the building. Moreover, if there are to be 5 clients at the same time, where are they going to park? Parking is not allowed on the Common and the site is close to the junction with Ashley Drive where parking is already an issue. This clearly needs to be addressed before any permission is considered
